One of the most famous filmmakers of his time – most famous for directing “Gone with the Wind” and “The Wizard of Oz.” He filmed a silent movie on the ranch in 1926 and recommended the experience to Margaret Mitchell, who was inspired enough to write “Gone with the Wind” on the ranch.
