Sasabe is a desert community at the border between Arizona and Mexico, tucked into a crook of the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge, which stretches for 117,000 acres across the Sonoran Desert. This compound is on 240 acres at the base of the Baboquivari Mountains. Tucson is within an hour and a half by car.
