In these months, horseback riding and hiking activities are scheduled for the earlier and latter parts of the day when it is cooler, giving guests the opportunity to take a siesta at the pool or explore nearby villages after lunch without having to miss out on scheduled ranch activities.   See double rainbows in the sky, intense sunsets and colors in the Desert that you have never seen! Clouds that billow and glow. See how the ocotillo cactus transforms itself into a mass of green leaves almost overnight; listen to the evening soundtrack of the Colorado River toads as they emerge from their underground homes to breed in small rain pools; and admire a variety of hawks and vultures as they glide around the ranch, circling upwards on the warm thermals.
