TITLE


Assistant Manager


SUMMARY


To assist the owners in the day to day running of a small, privately owned guest ranch.


QUALIFICATIONS


Applicants must be organized self-starters with previous office experience, ideally working in a similar environment.  They should be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the internet and have experience in sales, marketing and guest relations to help increase efficiency and profitability.


Applicants must have a valid driver's license and their own transport.


Applicants must be physically fit and have great interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, good sense of humor and a willingness to help out in all areas.  A neat and clean appearance is essential.


SALARY


Determined by experience.


BENEFITS


In return for a 40 – 50 hour week, the package includes monthly salary, onsite room and board.


SEASON

TITLE


MAINTENANCE PERSON


SUMMARY


Responsibilities include the care and maintenance of ranch premises, equipment and buildings.


QUALIFICATIONS


Applicants must have experience and a successful track record in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, light construction, vehicle maintenance and general ranch operations. 

Applicants must have a valid driver's license, their own transport and be able to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.

Applicants must be physically fit and have great interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, good sense of humor and a willingness to help out in all areas.  A neat and clean appearance is essential.


SALARY


Determined by experience.

TITLE


WRANGLER


SUMMARY


Responsibilities include caring for a herd of approximately 40 horses, the preparation and guiding of daily trail rides, plus the maintenance of the horse corrals, tack and equipment – previous experience essential.


QUALIFICATIONS


Applicants must:

  • have extensive horse knowledge and experience, ideally with horsemanship skills either demonstrated through personal interview or videotape;
  • have strong communication skills and experience in providing safe, educational and fun instruction both in the arena and on the trail to guests of all ages and riding abilities;
  • possess basic veterinary skills;
  • have a good sense of direction and familiarity of riding in rough terrain;
  • have a valid driver's license, their own transport and be able to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles;
  • be physically fit, have great interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, good sense of humor and a willingness to help out in all areas. 

A neat and clean appearance is essential.  First Aid and CPR certification a plus.
